The summer theatre workshops for young people aged 13 to 18, which this year will be linked to the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Czech Radio, offer the last available places in August. This year too, the Memory of Nations Theatre – Post Bellum is organizing summer theater workshops, and this time they will be connected with the celebrations of the centenary of Czech Radio. What did Prague's Libeň look like before the Second World War? What do we even know about its original inhabitants? The memories of witnesses from the old Libeň, their personal stories and thinking about them through the eyes of contemporaries became the starting point for the production of the Treacherous Leeward production of the Memory of Nations studio in Divadlo pod Palmovkou. The premiere took place on 7 June 2023 in the Palmovka Synagogue, in a unique space with an irreplaceable genius loci, which ideally harmonised with the poetics and creativity of the production by the young theatre artists from Libeň. Hynek Bočan's Spring 68

Production Spring 68 of the Memory od Nations' Theatre Studio in Dlouhá Theatre had its premiere on May 29, 2023. This production was created under the guidance of experienced lecturer Nika Nováková and the basic inspiration was the story of director Hynek Bočan. Although it might have seemed that the Prague Spring of 1968 would be a promise and a way to loosen the then-repressive regime, in the end only the skepticism of some citizens was confirmed. The Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia in August 1968 not only dashed all hopes for democratization, but also heralded a long socio-political agony, taking place exclusively under the baton of Moscow and cynically called “normalization.” The participants of the Memory of Nations' Theatre Studio in Dlouhá Theatre completed the 2022/2023 school year with a performance in the hall of the Monastery [...]

14.5.2023 Věra a rodina. Věra a škola. Věra a láska. Věra a její úvahy nad sebou a světem. Pohyb, obraz, papír, živá hudba. Představení středoškolského souboru vychází z deníkových zápisů Věry Jirousové z let 1956 - 1963, které našel a zpracoval její syn Tobiáš Jirous po její smrti. Sám přijal pozvání a kroužek navštívil a posunul bádání nad touto pozoruhodnou ženou o další krok dál. Soubor se zabýval pečlivě všemi zápisy, věnoval se dramaturgické práci při výběru textů a následnému propojení s pohybem, jevištním obrazem a scénografickým zpracováním. 16.5.2023 Praha Osmý semestr divadelních kroužků Paměti národa se blíží ke konci a stotřicítka dětí chystá svá závěrečná vystoupení. Osm kroužků (z toho dva pro děti z Ukrajiny) z Prahy i mimo ni vystoupí na Přehlídce divadelních kroužků Paměti národa dne 8. června mezi 16 - 18 hodinou v Památníku ticha. Prostory nádraží Bubny na podzim projdou kompletní rekonstrukcí. Vystoupení budou tedy zřejmě naposledy zasazena do budovy tak, jak vypadala ve 20. století.

Představení budou zpracovávat témata 20. století, židovské komunity, holokaustu, osudu německé menšiny. Ukrajinský kroužek z Pardubic představí autorskou inscenaci o osudu Ukrajinky Anny. 20. 3. 2023 I letos pořádáme letní divadelní dílny a tentokrát budou spojené s oslavami stého výročí Českého rozhlasu. Rádi Vás na ně zveme. Pojďme společně oživit rozhlasové příběhy. Jeho redaktoři zaznamenávali a reflektovali důležité mezníky našich moderních dějin. Kdo se přidá, nahlédne do rozmanitých rozhlasových povolání, ocitne se v čase důležitých historických momentů, inspiruje se příběhy pamětníků, natočí rozhlasový skeč či podcast a vše nakonec společně s lektory zapracuje do divadelního tvaru.
