The National Gallery Prague, in cooperation with the Memory of Nations Theatre, is opening a new Memory of Nations Theatre Studio in the summer semester of 2024. Its lecturer will be Barbora Černochová, who has previously presented a remarkable stage composition as part of the theatre studios Věra Jirousová's Tweets. The Memory of Nations Theatre has prepared the sixth edition of its regular theatre series “We Are Memory.” The aim is to present original performances from a young generation of artists, thematically based on the real stories of eyewitnesses recorded by Post Bellum documentarians and to connect art students with already integrated professional artists. The new edition of We Are Memory has begun! On November 21, students of he Department of Art Education of PedF UK met with Holocaust survivors in the Unijazz Reading RoomThis event is the first step towards the creation of a production that the National Remembrance Theater in cooperation with the Dutch Theatre Na de Dam regularly presents on January 27th on Holocaust Remembrance Day. This year we will present the production in the National Gallery in the Trade Fair Palace. Right across from the Trade Fair Palace was the so-called “gathering place” for victims before the subsequent transportation to Terezín under the protectorate.
