Summer Theatre Workshops: Become Part of the Story

What happens when a group of young people comes together to explore real-life stories from the 20th century and collectively creates their own theatrical performance? We’ll find out this year.

The Memory of Nations Theatre invites all artists aged 11–19 to summer theatre workshops in the form of a day camp. The theme is the moment of decision—that instant when a person must choose a course of action that could irreversibly change their life.

Five intensive days will be filled with drama games, visits to significant sites, and work with authentic stories from eyewitnesses. From all of this, a script and a final performance will be created, which the artists will present on Friday afternoon.

What will participants take away from the workshops? New friends and the experience of creating a production from the initial idea to the stage. They will learn to work with authentic stories, movement, and words, and discover that history is not an abstraction but the living destinies of peoplewho made decisions just like they do.
