The main theme of the play, the script of which was created by the students of the studio themselves, is the search for support on the threshold of adulthood in the backdrop of a totalitarian regime. Admission is free. We would like to thank the Liberec Region, the Statutory City of Liberec and the Sokols from Jablonec nad Nisou for their support and kind cooperation. Evaluation of the Summer Theatre Workshops

2024-08-27T16:43:08+02:00

We have completed all three rounds of this year's Summer Theatre Workshops for Children and Youth. They focused on the theme "The Will to Change the World" and were inspired by the story of Nicholas Winton and his mission to save Jewish children from World War II. Under the guidance of our lecturers, the young theatre artists created three performances in which they worked unconventionally with space, some moving among the audience or creating living sculptures that transformed into enlivened characters. The participants became tight and creative teams, and their last days were not without great emotion and many hugs. The participants, the audience, and even us from the Memory of Nations Theatre left with a stronger Will [...]

Thank you for the international project Over the Fence!

2024-07-31T15:38:19+02:00

The international theater education project "Over the Fence" in collaboration with the theater group Das Letzte Kleinod, took place in two phases. The first part was held in Prague. Participants created materials through independently conducted interviews, from which a performance inspired by the events of 1989 emerged. Young artists gained valuable experiences, discovered a new city, and formed friendships. They met again in Stützerbach, where the second part of the project took place. It was concluded with a final performance in the city of Hof, where, on October 1, 1989, the first train from Prague arrived. The professional theater performance was composed of individual meetings between Czech and German children that took place in Prague and Saxony. We thank [...]

Festival of the Memory of Nations Theatre Studios

2024-05-22T11:52:34+02:00

The theme of the festival is emigration in its internal and external forms. Like a line, it permeates all theater performances and thus frames the destinies of people who were forced to leave their homes in order to preserve their freedom, the historical memory of their ancestors, or just to escape for a while from the outside world that surrounded and tormented them so that they could immerse themselves in the world of art or into their thoughts.
